St Mary’s Council of Catholic Women has been serving our parish since 1925. We are an affiliate of both the South Carolina Council of Catholic Women and the National Council of Catholic Women. We serve our parish and the greater community through our volunteer work and our prayers. We grow in our spirituality and form lasting friendships. As of October 2023, St Mary’s Council had 116 members.
Some of our activities:
We host a fall spiritual women’s retreat, the Christmas Bake Sale and Bazaar, St Mary’s Lenten suppers and the Mamma Mia! Spaghetti Supper. We donate Boxes of Joy and Seafarer’s boxes during Advent. We donate to and volunteer with Our Lady’s Pantry and Our Lady’s Closet through Catholic Charities. We financially support the parish, St Mary’s Catholic School, and several other Catholic organizations in Greenville and beyond. We provide an annual college scholarship to one female St Mary’s parishioner.
